Welcome to Mersin
Mersin is known as “The Pearl of the Mediterranean” and we've selected the best places for you to stay while you discover why it deserves this nickname.
ACCOMODATION IN MERSIN
We are still talking to hotels about special rates, we will update this page soon!
If you don't want to wait and want to book hotels yourself, we recommend the site: obilet.com, it's usually cheaper than the German sites.
If someone already knows that they need a hotel, please contact Sinan so that he can talk to the hotels more concretely.
MERSIN MARINA
Mersin Marina is the ideal place to stroll around in the evening and have a few drinks at night. The place is beautiful and known for its delicious restaurants where, of course, you can find many varieties of shisha.
HEAVEN AND HELL
Cennet and Cehennem, or Heaven and Hell, are two incredible spots in Mersin that are definitely worth a visit. Cennet, the heavenly sinkhole, is surrounded by lush greenery and has a beautiful hidden chapel at the bottom, accessible by a long staircase. The sunlight streaming in creates a peaceful and almost magical atmosphere. In contrast, Cehennem, the Hell sinkhole, has steep and rugged sides that offer a dramatic and awe-inspiring view.
TANTUNI
As Adana is to kebab, Mersin is to Tantuni. A delicious juicy meat sandwich. You MUST try an authentic Tantuni! Sinan likes tantuni dürüm (rolled in bread), while Ana prefers it in a fluffy bun. You just have to find your favorite.
Ataturk House Museum
You've probably seen his picture on the streets and in shops all over the country. The Atatürk Museum in Mersin is a two-story house where the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his wife lived in 1925.
KIZ KALESI
Kızkalesi is a captivating destination in Mersin, known for its enchanting castle on a small island, surrounded by the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean. This picturesque setting is perfect for a relaxing evening stroll along the beach, especially at sunset when the views are truly breathtaking.
ADANA!
When visiting Mersin, don't miss a quick trip to Adana for an unforgettable culinary adventure! Just a short drive away, Adana is known for its vibrant food scene and is a haven for anyone who loves delicious, hearty meals. The city is famous for its signature Adana Kebab. But that's just the beginning! Immerse yourself in a feast of spicy mezes, aromatic pilafs and fresh salads. Don't forget to try the tangy shalgam, a traditional beet juice that pairs perfectly with the rich flavors of Adana's cuisine.
